In the absence of section and chapter titles, the best way to preview the book is to read the first page of the novel. 1.What details do you notice that seem odd? 2.What predictions can you make about the world of the novel from these details? Write your predictions and the reasons for them in your 1984 notebook. Be prepared to share.
